Mindpuzzled vs CareerExplorer, honestly
CareerExplorer's career test is thorough, and a lot of it is genuinely good: the test, your matches and the career reports are free, it asks about far more than your personality, and it draws on more than 1,500 careers and degrees. This page is for people who took it, or are about to, and want to know what a personality-first read adds and what it costs: our Assessment is free, and the Journey after it is $14.99 a month. It's a comparison, not a takedown.

Where CareerExplorer is better
The test, the matches and the career reports are free, which our Profile isn't: the Journey is $14.99 a month. And it's broad. It asks about your interests, your history and your goals as well as your personality, and it puts more than 1,500 careers and degrees in front of you, each with its own report. If you want a wide map of jobs to explore, or you're choosing what to study, it's a good place to get one. We don't do either.
Where the approaches differ
CareerExplorer starts from the jobs: it compares your answers with its career and degree profiles and ranks the ones you match. We start from you: five traits, and what they say about the kind of work you run well on. That's what "fit" means here. Your Profile names three work environments that fit you, each with three reasons it fits your traits. Titles are yours to choose.
What the Big Five can't tell you is what you'd find interesting. Interest is a separate thing from personality, and it's where CareerExplorer asks more than our twenty questions do. If interests are the part you're unsure about, its questions cover ground ours don't. Inside the Journey, the Career clarity track offers a short, separate interest set, optional and scored on its own, never mixed into your five scores.
What that means if you feel stuck
A ranked list of careers tells you where you might go. It doesn't tell you what to do on Tuesday, in the job you have now. If you're here because "stuck" is the word, the difference that matters is whether anything happens after the reveal. Your Profile, three work environments included, is where the Journey starts: a Chapter every week, written from your Profile and what you actually did, and one Daily Action a day.
What's free, what's paid, on both
CareerExplorer: the test, the matches, the insights and the career reports free; a membership on top for tools, resources, guidance and support. Mindpuzzled: Assessment, Archetype and insight free; everything after is the Journey, $14.99 a month by default, with the full price list on one screen before you pay.
