Mindpuzzled vs 16Personalities, honestly
16Personalities is the best-known personality test on the internet, and a lot of it is genuinely good: the full test is free, the type descriptions are long and warm, and the avatars are lovely. This page is for people who liked their four letters and want to know what's different here. It's a comparison, not a takedown.

Where 16Personalities is better
It's free, fully, and the free description is longer than our free Archetype and insight. Its avatars and codes are a shared language; "what's your type" works at a party and ours doesn't yet. It has been around for over a decade, and we're new. If you want a fun, generous, type-shaped read of yourself, it's a good place to get one.
One fairness note: many of the angriest reviews you'll find about "16Personalities" describe a $1 test that turns into a $40 monthly charge. That's a lookalike site, not 16Personalities, which doesn't sell a $1 test. Blame the right people.
Where the models differ
A type is a dial reported as a switch. Most people sit near the middle on at least one axis, which is why "always one question away from another type" is such a common experience. The Big Five reports the dial. It's less tidy and more true.
The type description is written once per type. Ours is written once per person, from the scores, and shows which scores each section came from so you can argue with it.
What that means if you feel stuck
A label tells you who you are. It doesn't tell you what to do on Tuesday. If you're here because "stuck" is the word, the difference that matters isn't the model; it's whether anything happens after the reveal. That's what the Journey is for, and it's the part we charge for, at the price above.
What's free, what's paid, on both
16Personalities: test and description free; guides one-time; membership subscription. Mindpuzzled: Assessment, Archetype and insight free; everything after is the Journey, $14.99 a month by default, with the full price list on one screen before you pay.
